IT Analyst III – Application Support

Under direction of management and/or guidance of senior IT staff, works on Service Desk tier I thru III tickets to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
Summary of Job Duties
Analyzes the current available third-party billing systems (i.e. Utilitec, Selectron, Central Square, etc.) to determine compatibility with and adaptability to customer needs and the County’s technical capabilities. Collaborates with technical specialists in areas such as database and application programming to adapt systems to specific departmental requirements; identifies potential problems and recommends solutions. Maintains Quality Assurance policies and procedures. Works with other county departments supporting the overall enterprise needs of the county. Upgrades, modifies and maintains the county’s hardware and software. Researches new applications, security threats, and new technology. Provides super-user training, plans and coordinates testing with assigned departments surrounding system/applications support; may mentor and/or provide guidance to lower level analysts in the performance of the above activities.
Under direction from IT management, serves as the technical lead for projects assigned. Works with the program leadership, and may mentor and/or provide guidance to lower level analysts, on documenting projects supported within the team, including but not limited to Leading Requirements Elicitation discussions with the stakeholders, identifying deliverables, mitigating risks, Drafting Scope of Work, Completing Project Charter, and Project Closure.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
A related Bachelors' degree with 2 years of progressive IT experience
OR a related Technical/Associate's Degree with 4 years of progressive IT experience.
OR evidence of equivalent minimum qualifications (education, experience or a combination of the two)
Must have valid Ohio Driver's License with acceptable driving record and show proof of insurance.

The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo completion of a background check, which will include a criminal background check.
