The Resident Enrichment and Community Outreach Coordinator develops, plans and directs resident enrichment activities including daytime habilitation, outings and in-house events for residents at the Stillwater Center. Supervises staff, volunteers and students that participate in administering these activities. To be successful in this position you must be able to lead change and innovation. Creativity is essential in planning activities and events for individuals with severe and profound intellectual and physical disabilities.
Summary of Job Duties
Evaluates each resident's therapeutic recreation needs based on their individual interests and specific physical and/or mental limitations; designs, schedules, conducts and evaluates both in-house and community therapeutic recreation activities and entertainment for residents based on individual habilitation plans; conducts ongoing evaluation of procedures and methods based upon observations and feedback.
Supervises assigned staff, volunteers and students; coordinates and participates in the implementation of therapeutic recreational activities and entertainment both in-house and in the community; follows applicable county, state and federal regulations; performs tasks of the functional area(s) supervised and operates motor vehicles as assigned to direct activities off-site.
Prepares and maintains program data and records for internal purposes and funding requirements; completes documentation of appropriate information; prepares periodic and special reports for internal management purposes; maintains inventory of supplies for therapeutic recreation activities, keeps current as to developments in the therapeutic recreation field, attends and participates in related conferences.
Performs public relations, promotional and fundraising duties; develops and coordinates volunteer programs and other special programs that provide leisure and/or therapeutic program activities.

Minimum Class Qualifications
Bachelor degree in therapeutic recreation, habilitation, education, social services or related degree and 2 yrs. experience providing programming to special populations in a highly-regulated environment OR alternative, equivalent evidence of the Minimum Class Requirements. Must have current valid State of Ohio Driver License with acceptable driving record. (Other Evidences May Be Substituted)
